SRI LANKA BEAT INDIA BY SEVEN WICKETS, STAY ALIVE IN ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2017

Chasing 322 to stay alive in ICC Champions Trophy 2017, Sri Lanka gunned down the target with seven wickets in hand. The win over India makes the Group B very interesting now. Winner of India vs South Africa, Pakistan vs Sri Lanka to enter semis.

Sri Lanka beat India by seven wickets in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 contest at The Oval on Thursday. Chasing the 322-run total, Sri Lanka reached the target with ease and lost just seven wickets in the process. This result makes Group B wide open as now the winner of India vs South Africa and Pakistan vs Sri Lanka will make the semi-finals from this group. Kusal Mendis played a brilliant hand for the islanders under pressure as he scored a solid 89.

India 321/6 after 50 overs. After a big opening stand between Rohit and Dhawan, India lost the plot in middle with quick wickets of Rohit, Kohli and Yuvraj. But Dhawan century set platform for big score. Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to field first in cloudy and overcast conditions.
