Sri Lanka beat India by
seven wickets in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 contest at The Oval on Thursday.
Chasing the 322-run total, Sri Lanka reached the target with ease and lost just
seven wickets in the process. This result makes Group B wide open as now the winner
of India vs South Africa and Pakistan vs Sri Lanka will make the semi-finals
from this group. Kusal Mendis played a brilliant hand for the islanders under
pressure as he scored a solid 89.

Champions Trophy, as it happened: Sri Lanka 322/3 after 48 .4 overs, beat India
by seven wickets to stay alive in the competition
India 321/6 after 50 overs. After
a big opening stand between Rohit and Dhawan, India lost the plot in middle
with quick wickets of Rohit, Kohli and Yuvraj. But Dhawan century set platform
for big score. Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to field first in cloudy and
overcast conditions.
