ESPN Brazil have reported that Barcelona ace Rafinha is considering a switch to Arsenal
after the North London outfit put forward an offer to him.
The
report from ESPN Brazil claims that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger
is keen on the 24-year-old, who can play central midfield or right-back.
But the story goes on to suggest that Wenger might be willing to
allow right-back Hector Bellerin - who began his career with the
Catalan outfit - move the other way.
Rafinha,
who scored six Liga goals in 14 starts for the Blaugrana last season, is said
to be weighing up the switch to the English capital.
The former Celta Vigo man has been a fringe player at Camp Nou
for the past couple of seasons, but Barcelona's willingness to sell should not
suggest he is not a very good player.
After
all, Alexis Sanchez was allowed to join Arsenal for £35 million in 2014 and the
Chilean is arguably the Gunners' finest player
in the post-Thierry Henry era.
Rafinha,
whose contract expires in 2020, is valued at around £26.4 million, according to The Mirror.
