MOHAMED SALAH is
preparing for his Liverpool medical.
The Egyptian is poised
to complete a £39m move from Roma in the coming hours after the two clubs
finally agreed a fee.
He has arrived in
Liverpool and is will soon be put through his paces as the formalities near
completion
Salah is set to become
Liverpool's most-expensive player, eclipsing Andy Carroll's ill-fated £35m move
in 2011.
He is thought to want
to famous No.9 jersey at Anfield as Jurgen Klopp seals his first major signing
of the summer.
And
journalist Hady Elmedany says the medical will start at 11am this morning.
He
tweeted: "Mohamed Salah has arrived to Merseyside at early hours at night.
"He
will start medical checks around 11am."
Roma
are not the only club set to profit from Salah's move.
Chelsea
will be due £2.7m from the Kop because of a sell-on clause inserted in the deal
that took the winger from Stamford Bridge to Rome in 2016.
Salah
flopped at Stamford Bridge following an £11m transfer in 2014.
Liverpool
were interested in Salah back then but baulked at the asking price.
And
now they are ready to spend almost four times that amount to finally land the
Egyptian.
