04:10: Liverpool are preparing a £40million bid to sign Arsenal
star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield
with just 12 months remaining on his current contract at the Emirates.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to extend the England international's
deal as he bids to ward off interest from the Reds.
But Express Sport understands Liverpool are ready to make a
last-ditch attempt to stop Oxalde-Chamberlain from signing a new
£100,000-a-week contract to remain in north London.
03:50: Liverpool could be involved in yet another tapping-up row
over their transfer for Chelsea striker Dominic Solanke, according to
reports.
Solanke, 19, will officially join Liverpool on when his contract
at Stamford Bridge expires on July 1.
But The Sun claim the Reds could be in for more flak over their
transfer dealings just one week after their pursuit of Southampton's Virgil van
Dijk ended in embarrassment.
Solanke's transfer will go to a tribunal with a compensation fee
yet to be agreed.
However, The Sun suggest the Reds could face another quizzing at
the tribunal.
Premier League rules state that out-of-contract players can talk
to domestic clubs after the third week in May.
But the Sun suggest a deal for Solanke to move to Anfield was
already in place in February.
Liverpool announced personal terms with Solanke had been agreed
upon on May 30.
But the timeline of the transfer could be called into question
as the move way have breached rules over out-of-contract players.
03:30: Liverpool have reportedly reignited reportedly reignited
their interest in Middlesbrough centre-back Ben Gibson after ending interest in
Southampton's Virgil van Dijk.
Jurgen Klopp has made signing a centre-back a priority as he
looks to bolster his ranks in a bid to mount a Premier League title challenge
and possibly compete in the Champions League.
And The Sun claim the German boss has now placed Gibson back on
the wanted list.
However, Boro want at least £20m before they even consider
listening to offers for their captain.
The report adds the Reds are also keeping tabs on Burnley's
Michael Keane.
