Kylian Mbappe is a key target for Arsenal this summer but
they face competition from a number of clubs, including latest suitors
Liverpool
Liverpool have emerged as possible rivals to Arsenal in the race to sign Monaco goalscoring
sensation Kylian Mbappe.
The 18-year-old is one of the
most in-demand young players in world football after his outstanding
breakthrough campaign with the Ligue 1 winners and his form has not gone
unnoticed.
Real Madrid are considered the
frontrunners to sign him this summer but Arsenal hold faith that a transfer is
still achievable given the 18-year-old's appetite for regular first-team
football at this stage of his career.
Mbappe
has his choice of admirers, with PSG reportedly joining the scramble to buy him
over the weekend and now Arsenal's Premier League rivals Liverpool are interested
in a deal.
Jurgen
Klopp has reportedly made contact with the striker's representatives and
Arsenal now face a battle to convince the striker to reject the advances of the
Merseyside club, who can offer Champions League football having pipped the
Gunners to fourth spot on the final day of the Premier League season.

Arsenal will play in the Europa League next season but are confident
that the promise of a guaranteed role in the starting XI for Mbappe could yet
swing the deal in their favour, while Arsene Wenger's meeting with the striker's family last summer
will also factor in his decision.

A fee of over £100m is expected for the Frenchman, with
Liverpool now making attempts to convince Mbappe his future lies at Anfield
