Stories surrounding Liverpool’s attempts to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita have
developed on Monday.
The big story in Bild is that Leipzig are willing to
sell their star for silly money.
22-year-old
Keita is a box-to-box midfielder. Last season he scored 8 goals and
chalked up seven assists in 32 matches for his German employers
He has three
years left on his contract with Leipzig, but they are eager to agree an
extension that would make him the club’s highest earner.
But, the
update on Monday’s Bild is that RB Leipzig will sell Keita for
80 million euros.
‘Wants to leave’
Leipzig’s
transfer fee for Keita is assumed to be high so as to ward Liverpool off
making a move.
But will the
Reds call their bluff?
Were that to
happen, Keita’s Anfield move would be likely to transpire, especially
after well-respected German journalist Raphael Honigstein has confirmed on
Monday morning that the midfielder wants to leave Leipzig.
