We’re in for a bit of laughter here. The transfer rumours about
Liverpol are getting funnier each day and this one is no exception. Philippe
Coutinho signed a contract extension with us back in
January and that indicated his commitment to the club. 6 months down the line,
there is no reason why that would have changed. The club is rather moving in
the right direction and Jurgen Klopp seems like the man to take us forward.
Coutinho is a star at the club and is being celebrated by us.
The team’s attack has been built around him and he’s a crucial part of
Liverpool right now. The latest rumour only makes me laugh.
The news is that Lionel Messi held talks with Philippe Coutinho
regarding a move to Barcelona this summer. Laughing already? Please read on.
Spanish outlet Don Balon say that the pair had a chat after
Brazil’s recent 1-0 friendly loss to Argentina on June 9.
Their report claims Coutinho wouldn’t consider
leaving Liverpool for any club other than Barcelona. Philippe Coutinho, 24, is
thought to be a long-term target for Barcelona as they consider options to
replace ageing club legend Andres Iniesta
Don Balon’s article
adds that he could be pushed towards Barca should they make an offer for him as
he likes the idea of playing alongside Messi and Neymar.
Leo Messi had a chat with the player regarding a move? (because
he runs FC Barcelona?) What an absurd claim! Yes, it is natural for clubs to
use players’ friendships to get a deal done but this is beyond imagination.
Just because they are both South Americans, it doesn’t mean the press can claim
what they want! It would have made more sense had the report read that Neymar
held talks with Coutinho!
The Brazilian magician is crucial to Jurgen Klopp’s future plans
and Klopp will not let Coutinho leave the club anytime soon.
Keep dreaming Barcelona!
