Brazil
took to the training ground on Monday as they being preparations for the
Chevrolet Brasil Global Tour double-headers against Argentina and Australia in
Melbourne.
Coach
Tite was still without 15 players as he put the players through their paces. In
attendance were Diego Alves, Rafinha, Filipe Luis, Thiago Silva, Gil, David
Luiz, Jemerson, Fernandinho, Renato Augusto, Philippe Coutinho, Willian,
Giuliano, Gabriel Jesus, Douglas Costa and Taison.

For
the most of the session at the Lakeside Stadium, the 15 players worked on a
square field in which they practiced quick passing around the defensive line
before breaking out downfield.
New
Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli is known for his high-pressing approach and Tite
appears had the players working hard on combatting a ‘full-press’.
Every
one of the 15 were greeted warmly by Tite, who headed straight to the training
field as he landed in Australia after travelling directly from Cardiff after
watching Real Madrid defeat Juventus in the UEFA Champions League final on
Saturday.
Valencia’s Diego Alves, who is
tipped to be in with a chance to stake his claim as Brazil’s no.1 this month,
was the lone goalkeeper in the session as the rest of the squad played attack
vs defence. He was the star of the day, impressing the coaching staff with a
number of fine stops.
His main rival for the place,
Ederson, will join the squad on the eve of Friday’s meeting with Argentina at
the Melbourne Cricket Ground after granted the time to stay at home for the
birth of his daughter.
Thiago Silva and Gil look to be
set to start at the heart of the defence against Argentina this week, with
David Luiz and Jemerson forming the second pair of central defenders.
PSG stopper Thiago Silva has
not started for his country since June 2015. He has seens just 47 mintues for
Brazil in the last two years.
Right-back
Fagner, midfielder Rodriguinho, goalkeeper Weverton and midfielder Paulinho
will join the group for Tuesday’s training session.
Sao
Paulo’s Rodrigo Caio and Sport’s Diego Souza will link up with their team-mates
on Wednesday.
