LIVERPOOL target Mohamed Salah would be a
"good" addition to Jurgen Klopp's squad.
That is according to Steve
Nicol but the former Reds defender warns that Salah might not be a first-team
regular.
Liverpool are closing in on a £35m
deal for the Roma winger, who scored 19 goals in all competitions
this season.
Klopp
is on the hunt for reinforcements ahead of a return to the Champions League
next term.
But
Nicol is unsure whether Salah will get into the starting XI ahead of Sadio Mane
or Philippe Coutinho.
"I
think he fits in with the way Klopp wants to play," Nicol said.
"He
goes at defenders, he scores goals. He puts a shift in, he will close the ball
down.
"It certainly makes Liverpool's squad
stronger.
"Where does he start though? Does he
start ahead of Mane? I don't think so.
"Does he start ahead of Coutinho? I don't
think so.
"I'm not sure he goes
through the middle.
"It's
a good signing because it makes the squad bigger and better, but is he a
starter? I'm not so sure."
