Pursuit of talent
Barcelona are set to seemingly beat Manchester United to one of their long-term defensive targets in Benfica’s Nélson Semedo. According to reports in his homeland, Barcelona are getting closer and closer to the signing of Semedo.
It is expected that the player will sign for the Catalan giants as they look for defensive recruitment.
Semedo has been routinely linked to Manchester United in the past few transfer windows as a long-term target.
Whether that was it or their interest extended further is yet to be seen, but it is now likely he will join Barcelona.
Semedo has a release clause of 80 million euros but it seems that an offer of around 50 million euros will be enough to sign the defender.
