With
Diego Costa looking like he’s going to leave Chelsea this summer, Arsenal fans
reacted to the thought of potentially bringing him to north London.

Costa reveals he’s not in Antonio Conte’s plans next season

Arsenal fans discuss whether controversial striker is worth it
Since signing for
Chelsea three years ago, Costa has definitely made his mark on the Premier
League.
Not only has the
striker helped the Blues to the Premier League title twice and scored 58 goals
in all competitions, he’s managed to make enemies with just about everyone in
England who’s not a Chelsea fan.
Despite being a decent
enough striker, the ’28’-year-old has become more well known for his diving,
cheating and blatant thuggery on the pitch.
Therefore, when one or
two Gooners questioned whether Arsenal should look at signing him from their
London rivals, the answer was a resounding ‘no’.
While another
attempted to make a case for the Spain international, saying, “He’s borderline
world class, obviously he’s not on the level of [Robert Lewandowski], [Luis]
Suarez etc. But he’s just below, and if you watch him play he’s pretty much
always causing problems for defenders and creating space for others even when
he doesn’t score.
“He’s
lead Chelsea to the title twice. If we got him and a good CM, we’d definitely
challenge.”
And another retorted, “Possible,
but I don’t really think so. It’s not as simple as putting x player in x team
and it suddenly becoming a winning formula. Just looking at how Chelsea set up
in a 343 and what players they have vs. the players we have in the same area
you can see why Costa gets a lot of goals. As I said, if he were more
consistent he’d be world class. He would score almost 30 a season.”
Over on Twitter,
however, Arsenal fans didn’t appear quite as opposed to signing the
controversial star.
Arsenal should be looking at Diego Costa 100%.
Controversial, but I'd take Costa at Arsenal in a heart
beat.
Diego Costa to Arsenal would be unreal. Would never
happen but wouldn't be against it.
Diego Costa confirms that Antonio Conte doesn't want him
at Chelsea next season. Conte has sent him a message. Holding ruined him!
I'd bid for Diego Costa if I managed Arsenal.
Arsenal fans would actually turn down the chance of
signing Costa, because he's not a nice guy lol
Arsenal fans tweeting polls saying "would you lot
take Costa at Arsenal" ofcourse you fucking would, but he wont join. He
isn't a loser..
