Novak Djokovic And Andre
Agassi’s Partnership Will Continue Beyond The French Open, With The American
Set To Be Involved In ‘The Biggest Tournament’, However The Serb Is Ready To Add
A Day-To-Day Coach To His Team.
Agassi was not due to be
in Djokovic’s box for his third-round struggle with Diego Schwartzman but the
eight-time Grand Slam champion moved certain things in his schedule around in
order to sit through the world No. 2’s five-set win over the Argentine.
Djokovic will now face
Spain’s Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the fourth round at Roland Garros but the
12-time major winner insisted this is not the last we’ll be seeing of Agassi in
his coaching box.
‘He’s the man,’ Djokovic
said of Agassi after the match.
Andre was not supposed
to be here today, he managed to reschedule certain things to come and I
appreciate that.
‘These 8 days we spent
together were phenomenal. I don’t have expectations, we don’t have plans for
the future set in stone.
‘Andre will try to be
with me in the biggest tournaments, but I will need someone day-to-day.
Of the match itself, Djokovic was happy to get through the test and believes it will stand him in good stead for the rest of the French Open.

‘He deserved the
applause he got at the end, he was probably the better player for the first
three sets,’ Djokovic added.
‘I was mentally strong
and as calm as I could be. The conditions were suited to his style, I made a
lot of errors.
‘All in all, it was good
to be a part of five setter, it will put me in a good position mentally and
physically it won’t affect me.’
