Cristiano Ronaldo
Cometh
the hour, cometh the man.
It
should come as no shock that the Real Madrid superstar scored but it is the
record he continues to break which astound.
Ronaldo's
now the first player ever to score in three Champions League finals - 2008,
2014, 2017.
It
was also the sixth straight Champions League season he's scored 10 or more
goals - No other player has done it in 2+ consecutive seasons.
Remarkable.
Mario Mandzukic
But
for all of Ronaldo's brilliance, he didn't score the goal of the night.
That
goes to Mandzukic who's stunning overhead kick brought Juventus back into the
game.
The
Croatian had no right to score given the amount of men he had around him but
his effort which went over Keylor Navas was unstoppable.
Gonzalo Higuain
The
Argentina striker has a phenomenal goalscoring record in his club career.
But
he has a history of flopping in big games.
And
this was another of those occasions.
After
a early shot, the £75.3 million man was anonymous as the play went on around
him.
It
was shock to see Paulo Dybala come off before him.
Gareth Bale
The
hometown boy was left on the bench by Gareth Bale after not being able to prove
his fitness in time.
Bale
was able to come on with 15 minutes to play.
There's
been mounting speculation about a move to Manchester United.
Could
his final snub lead to an exit?
Sergio Ramos
The
Spain defender is a tremendous defender.
But
he is also a cheat.
His
theatrics led to Juan Cuadrado's red card and it was completely unnecessary.
