Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that he
misses playing for Manchester United because home fans never used to boo him
like Real Madrid fans do.
The Los Blancos star spoke at length on the issue today and it is clear that
those who booed him this season have angered him.
On
several occasions, this season, Ronaldo and other players have been whistled
which signals the Bernabeu’s discontent.
Cristiano
has been on the receiving end of that on a few occasions this season especially
during a poor winter period.
Now,
Ronaldo has admitted that he misses Manchester United and the Premier League because
that would not happen in England.
“I spent a lot of years at Manchester United and it [home fans booing] never
happened to me. Not even once,” he explained.
“I don’t like it and it’s not
normal that they whistle you in your own stadium. I just don’t like it.”
“It’s not correct. And when you
are on a difficult run that is when you need extra support from outside, not
less. Sometimes we don’t have it
