Reports in Turkey suggest Arda
Turan could be on his way to the Emiartes
Turan
has been given permission to move to Arsenal, according to reports in Turkey.
The
30-year-old playmaker has been heavily linked with a move to north London in
the past two months, with Arsene Wenger seeing him a potential replacement for Mesut Ozil.
But the
noises coming out of Spain have been mixed, with some suggesting a deal has
been agreed with the Gunners, while others believe Turan wants to stay with the
La Liga giants.
It is now
claimed, however, that Turkey international has been told he will be leaving
the Camp Nou after a meeting with new boss Ernesto Valverde.
And reporting to us the Barcelona manager has given
Turan the green light to push through a move to Arsenal.
Speaking in March, Turan's agent said “There is currently no
offer, there is nothing to speak of right now.
“I have
not been contacted by Arsenal. As I said before, he is happy at
Barcelona and has three years left on his contract.”
Turan scored
13 goals for Barcelona last season, he also chipped in with seven assists.
