ARSENAL AND CHELSEA SUFFER TOLISSO BLOW AS ANCELOTTI AND MUNICH MAKE MAJOR PLAY FOR £50M STAR - REPORT

The Lyon midfielder is one of Europe’s most sought after midfielders this summer
Arsenal’s hopes of signing Corentin Tolisso this summer have taken a hit as Bayern Munich step up their bid for the Lyon man.
Tolisso is one of Europe’s most sought after midfielders this summer following a superb season with the Ligue 1 club.
He scored 13 goals in 46 appearances for Lyon, with his performances earning himself a first senior cap for the France national side in March.
Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of the 22-year-old, who has previously expressed his desire to move to Arsenal.
But Chelsea are also interested - as are Bayern Munich, who opened talks with Lyon over the midfielder during the past fortnight.
And now it appears the Bundesliga giants are stepping up their efforts to win the race for Tolisso, according to reports on the continent.
Speaking about his future, Tolisso said previously: “Many clubs make me dream like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and England with teams like Arsenal.
“I like the Premier League and I think I am well suited to it.

“It is the league that offers the most competition, it is the most open, the most hard-fought and the most spectacular.”
