British police arrested a
19-year-old man in connection with the June 3 London Bridge attacks in Barking
in eastern London Sunday evening.
The unnamed teenager arrested during a raid Sunday evening is
currently being held in a jail in south London.
The police told BBC six other men are also being held in
custody in connection with the terrorist attacks. The six other men arrested
are between 27 and 30 years old and were also arrested in east London.
With this newest arrest, police have now arrested 21 people in
the investigation into the attacks.
As part of the investigation, British police released images
this weekend of the fake suicide belts used by the attackers created with
plastic water bottles, duct tape and leather belts. Police also revealed that
the attackers had tried to hire a 7.5-ton truck and that they have identified
an apartment rented by one of the attackers where they may have planned the
attacks.
